Taman Ayun Temple
Royal Family Temple in Mengwi. A compound of Balinese temple and garden with water features located in Mengwi subdistrict in Badung Regency. Henk Schulte Nordholt wrote in his book Negara Mengwi that Taman Ayun was renovated in 1750. The architect’s name is given as Hobin Ho. Pura Ulun Danu, is a major Shaivite water temple on Bali. The temple complex is located on the shores of Lake Bratan. Built in 1633, this temple is used for offerings ceremony to the Balinese water, lake and river goddess Dewi Danu, due to the importance of Lake Bratan as a main source of irrigation in central Bali. The 11-storey “Pelinggih Meru” in the complex is dedicated to Shiva and his consort Parvathi. Buddha's statue is also enshrined in this temple.

Tracing from the meaning of the word Jatiluwih is composed of two words namely Jati and Luwih. Where Jati means true / real, while Luwih means good.
