Vancouver In the morning, we will first head to the Hope Town, and then pass through the town of Merritt and head to visit the famous local "VQA" rare wine winery. Shortly after, we will head to Kelowna: the hometown of fruits in BC, and pass by the Okanagan Lake. Following, we will visit the famous local Vernon Planet Bee Honey Farm. The Last Spike Gift Shoppe The Last Spike was the final and ceremonial railway spike driven into the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) track by company director Donald Smith on the morning of November 7th, 1885. The ceremony marked the completion of the transcontinental CPR. It was a muted affair at which a group of company officials and laborers gathered at Craigellachie. The Last Spike symbolized more than just the completion of a railway. Contemporaries and historians have viewed the Last Spike as an event when national unity was recognized.
