THE GREATER KRUGER PARK

Manyeleti Game Reserve
We depart Johannesburg and head for the Greater Kruger National Park where our Safari adventure begins. After travelling through the Highveld farmlands we descend the dramatic Drakensberg Escarpment and into the Lowveld, home to some of the most pristine Private Game Reserves in South Africa and the world renowned Kruger National Park. We arrive at Thornhill Safari Lodge in time for a delicious lunch.
After some relaxation time, we venture out on a late afternoon/evening Big five game drive in open 4×4 Safari vehicles in one of the neighbouring Private Reserves. Sundowner drinks and snacks are enjoyed at one of the waterholes en route; enjoying the sights, sounds and smells of the African Bushveld before continuing our game drive into the night. After an exciting evening, we return to Thornhill to experience a traditional South African meal around the log fire.

Kruger National Park
An early rise as you are greeted by your guide as you enjoy coffee and rusks before embarking on a day of exploration in the acclaimed Kruger National park. The Park offers an unrivalled wildlife experience that ranks with the best not only in Africa, but around the world. Its rich history dates back to 1898. Today, this national treasure offers two million hectares of unspoiled African bushveld and captivating wildlife.
Our game drive takes us through a landscape like no other, with an amazing variety of wildlife, birds, plants and trees. We break at a remote picnic site to enjoy a scrumptious bush breakfast before continuing our Safari discovering the unspoilt and untamed wilderness that makes the Kruger Park so special. Our journey continues as we stop off at the various viewpoints and waterholes whilst game viewing and bird watching along the way.
We return to the comforts of Thornhill Safari Lodge.

GREATER KRUGER PARK TO JOHANNESBURG

Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve
We begin our day with coffee and rusks before venturing on an early morning game walk exploring the reserve on foot. Our qualified filed guides will share their passion with you as you learn some fascinating facts about the environments and its inhabitants that surround you.
After a tasty breakfast, We bid you farewell as you continue further on your South African journey. Ascending the scenic Drakensberg Escarpment, We stop off to view the spectacular setting of the three Rondawels towering over the Blyde River Canyon en route back to Johannesburg.
Please don’t book any international flights until after 10pm this evening.
