This tour will go to the Belém area. In the time of the Discoveries all our caravels and sailors left here to explore the world.
Since then, this area has become a symbol of the era perpetuated by the construction of the Jeronimos Monastery, the Tower of Belém and, more recently, the Monument of the Discoveries.
Get ready to see History, Architecture and finish with a sweet of the Gods.

Mosteiro dos Jeronimos
The Jerónimos Monastery is, together with the Torre de Belém, one of the most visited places in Lisbon. Here you can visit its church and cloisters. The Church of Santa Maria is totally different from any other in the world. Its single nave supported by six beautifully carved columns makes it appear to extend forever. The two cloisters are breathtaking with their decorative ornamentation and symbolism.

Torre de Belem
This tower was built during the 16th century on the north bank of the river Tagus to defend the city. Later it was turned into a lighthouse and customs. Here you can see an impressive Manueline style.

Padrao dos Descobrimentos
This impressive monument was designed to commemorate the Age of Discoveries in Portugal. It was inaugurated in 1960, in the fifth centenary of one of the great discoverers of the country, Prince Henry the Navigator.
