The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust (DSWT), also known as the Elephant Orphanage, is located in Nairobi, Kenya. It is one of the most well-known elephant sanctuaries in the world, dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of orphaned elephants, often victims of poaching. Once the elephants are nurtured and rehabilitated, they are eventually reintegrated into the wild.
