Nazare Visit to the Dry Fish Market Meet the Nazarenes and chat with them next to the Mercado do Peixe Seco, where a dozen women continue to dry the fish in pans daily and where you can observe the colorful traditional boats displayed on the beach.

Praia da Nazare Monument to the Castaways and Living Museum of the Dry Fish The Monument to the Castaways is a marble sculpture located next to the Nazaré Cultural Center, which pays homage to the castaways in the region. Monastery of Alcobaca (OPTIONAL) - 6 Euros per person Monastery that speaks of the separation of the country and the Kingdom of Castile. Of note are the tombs of Pedro and Inês, whose tragic story is still remembered by the Portuguese people. Here you can visit the Abbot's former apartment, the monks' dormitories, the Jardim do Cloister, an ancient ruin of a Visigoth castle from the 7th century, among other architectural relics that transport us to times gone by.
