After visiting the pyramids of Giza, we go to the Great Sphinx, by far the largest and surviving sphinx. It consists of a human head on a lion's body. The sphinx was carved from the remains of a limestone hill that served as a quarry for the Cheops pyramid.

Hurghada
At around 1:00 a.m. you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to Cairo in an air-conditioned coach. Once you arrive there, you will be met by your tour guide who will accompany you for the entire tour. The trip begins with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, which, in addition to its over 120,000 exhibits, also houses the golden coffin of Tutankhamun. Afterwards you will enjoy lunch. The rest of the trip takes you to the great pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerinus. The tour of the pyramids ends at the Sphinx and the temple surrounding it. At the end of the trip you may visit a perfume factory or a papyrus factory - this depends on the time remaining. Due to the convoy, the journey from Hurghada to Cairo (one way) can take between 6 and 8 hours, as all buses and cars have to be driven in a police car for security reasons. The coach will drop you off in front of your hotel at around 11 p.m.
