Then we take our first thrilling game drive in the Masai Mara game reserve, one of East Africa's top safari destinations. The Mara reserve incorporates 1510 km² of incredible, wide-open landscapes and fertile riverine woodland following the looping meanders of the Mara and Talek rivers in Kenya. One glimpse is enough to explain its appeal. It is quintessential African savannah country, with a mass of amazing wildlife.
