Southern Germany is rich in amazing landscapes, especially for its pre-Alpine mountains. Berchtesgaden is a little village full of attractions, which can be added to the tour, depending on the group's interest. In addition to the Eagles Nest, Berchtesgaden also has the beautiful Royal Lake (Königssee), the island of Saint Bartholomew and the Salt Mines Museum.

What To Expect

This is a place to review Nazi history. At the Obersalzberg documentation center you can visit the bunker and learn about the beginnings of Nazi propaganda. Then we take the Shuttlebus (€30.80/per person) to the top of Mount Kehlstein, later called “Eagles’ Nest” by American troops. The climb is very steep and has many curves, but an incredible view. From the top of Eagles Nest, you will enjoy a panoramic view of the entire region, even the Salzburg skyline. On the way back, we drive along the German Alpine Road.
