Khao Sok National Park
Khao Sok National Park is a nature reserve in southern Thailand containing dense virgin jungle, towerlike limestone karst formations and the man-made Cheow Lan Lake. It’s home to rare species such as the giant parasitic Rafflesia flower, hornbill birds, gibbons and tigers. The park can be explored by elephant-back safari, hiking trail, and raft, canoe or kayak via the Sok river.

Cheow Lan Dam
Cheow Lan Lake or Rajjaprabha Dam Reservoir, is in Khao Sok National Park in Surat Thani Province, Thailand. It is an 185-square-kilometre artificial lake, inaugurated in 1987 with the construction of Rajjaprabha Dam by the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand as a source of electricity.

Spend your day after lunch just simply relaxing, kayaking on your own, or beating the heat to swim into emerald clear water. Late afternoon we board the boat back to the pier. If time allows we can add a visit to the dam viewpoint.
