In Girona is one of the most important jewish museums in our country, where you will discover the jewish heritage through eleven galleries. The main aim of the Museum is to preserve and reflect the history of the Jewish communities of Catalonia, which throughout the entire medieval period formed part of, and made a decisive contribution to, the history of the country and its cultural and scientific development.

The extension of the Roman walls during the medieval ages (9th century) today enables visitors to stroll along a walkway following some sections of the longest Carolingian walls in Europe. The various towers are excellent vantage points offering panoramic views over the city.

Puente de Besalua
In this little town of Besalú you will find an impressive medieval bridge that exists from the 11th century. What happens is that in 1315 a flood destroyed the bridge and was rebuilt thanks to the tax established under the notice of James II besaluencs leaders. Over time, it has been rebuilt several times.

Besalu
The assets of Besalú is based on a high percentage in the monuments that make up the medieval town. It is difficult to find a town with so much heritage per square feet. The buildings that make up our heritage temples ranging from religious to civil buildings of great interest. It is remarkable heritage that has remained of the Jewish community that lived in Besalú from the ninth century until 1436. Besalú is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Catalonia. Its geographical situation favored a settlement already settled in ancient times and it has been a meeting place of different cultures that have enriched the heritage of the town.
