Theobald Wolfe Tone Statue

By 1791, Tone and others formed the Society of United Irishmen, a revolutionary movement aimed to overthrow the British rule in Ireland and pave the way to independence. But his actions were put to an end when he was captured by the British forces and later on, he died in mysterious circumstances.
