Curral das Freiras This parish has a unique location on the island of Madeira, as it is located in a deep valley that resembles the crater of a volcano, but which owes its appearance solely to strong erosion.

Miradouro da Boca dos Namorados Boca da Corrida viewpoint, located above 1000 meters, providing an excellent view of Curral das Freiras and several volcanic summits. Also located in this parish is the Mirante da Boca dos Outubro, which is frequently visited by tourists and offers an excellent view of the southern part of the parish of Curral das Freiras.

Cabo Girao The Cabo Girão viewpoint, located on the highest promontory in Europe, at an altitude of 580 m, offers a dizzying view of the Rancho and Cabo Girão fajãs – small areas of cultivated land at the foot of the cliff, as well as magnificent panoramic views of the ocean and the municipalities of Câmara de Lobos and Funchal.
